You can reach our Elldus Resort from the south of Germany through the Czech Republic (E42) via the border crossing Waldsassen - Eger (Cheb) - Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary) - Gottesgab (Bozi dar) - Kurort Oberwiesenthal.

From the south:

Through the Czech Republic via the Waldsassen border crossing via Cheb to Karlovy Vary via the highway. From Karlovy Vary continue on the country road to Bozi Dar. From the border crossing it is about 5 km to the spa town of Oberwiesenthal.

From the north/west/east:

Option 1: Via the A 72 motorway to the Stollberg West exit. Via the S256 via Zwönitz, Elterlein, Scheibenberg to Oberwiesenthal. 

Option 2: Via the A 72 to the Hartenstein exit. Via Aue, Schwarzenberg, Raschau-Markersbach, Rittersgrün follow the signs to Oberwiesenthal. 

In the town itself follow the green hotel route.

Please note that in the winter months some roads in Oberwiesenthal are not open. Therefore, please always use the main roads and be sure to pay attention to the traffic signs even if your navigation system suggests other routes in the town (e.g. arrival at Elldus Resort via Vierenstraße - not cleared in winter!). Snow chains are usually not necessary for your journey - however, if you have some, it is not wrong to pack them. We kindly ask you to inform yourself about the current traffic situation before you start your journey.

With the trains of the German Federal Railways you go to Chemnitz main station, from where a regular bus takes you to Oberwiesenthal 3 - 4 times a day. From the Oberwiesenthal train station/bus stop you will be picked up by our resort bus.

If you arrive by train, you can already take a real experience with you. In this case, you will take the Deutsche Bahn trains to Annaberg-Buchholz. Continue by bus to Cranzahl station and from there take the steam-powered Fichtelbergbahn to Oberwiesenthal station.
