During your stay, we offer two wonderful opportunities for children to learn how to swim on selected dates. At the Happy Swim School, fun and water safety come first, as our little guests playfully learn their first swimming movements.
For the more ambitious young swimmers, the Seepferdchen Swimming Course focuses on teaching swimming skills and earning the coveted swimming badge. This way, every child has the chance to grow with joy and confidence in the water. Whether your child chooses the Happy Swim School or the “Seepferdchen” course (early swimmer badge), success is guaranteed!

Move safely in Water
For all little water lovers aged 4.5 years and older, we offer a one-week swimming course during your stay at Elldus Resort. Here, children can playfully learn how to move safely in the water and build their confidence. The main goal of the course is to teach children water self-rescue skills.
The swimming course takes place Monday to Friday in the morning at the Aquatic Area of Elldus Spa. The course is designed for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 children. We kindly ask for pre-registration during the apartment booking. Please use the registration form (PDF for download) and send the completed form to spa(at)elldus.de.
The price for a weekly course (5 x 45 minutes) is €120 for hotel guests.
Note: Your registration is only considered confirmed after we receive the registration form and provide a confirmation. The participation of external guests in the Happy Swim School is only possible after consultation with our team and based on availability. Please understand that our hotel guests have priority for swimming courses, and we can only provide a short-term confirmation or cancellation. Individual lessons are €150.

Early Swimmers Badge
Earn the coveted swimming badge!
On selected dates, motivated little water fans have the opportunity to participate in an intensive week-long course aimed at earning the “Seepferdchen” swimming badge. The course is conducted by the Schwimmteam Erzgebirge swimming club. The course is primarily for our overnight guests.
Overview:
- Child requirements: Minimum age 5 to 12 years (if the child’s physical and motor development is advanced, participation may be possible from 4.75 years after consultation)
- Enjoyment of water and prior swimming pool experience
- Schedule: Sunday to Friday, with one swimming lesson per day and one additional lesson on three days
- At least one parent/guardian must be present at the poolside
- “Seepferdchen Badge”: 25 meters swimming, diving, jumping | If the course goal is not achieved, the Frog Badge will be awarded as a motivational symbol.
Price: €238 (external service provider, payment through Elldus Resort)
“How do I know if my child is ready for this course?”
First, it’s important that your child truly enjoys the water and has no fear. Experience has shown that if your child is able to ride a bike well and/or is approximately 1.10 meters tall, it’s usually a good indicator of readiness.
“What does my child need for the swimming course?”
- Swimwear (tight-fitting material – no Bermuda shorts, etc.)
- Swim cap with the child’s name on the front (also available on-site)
- Swim shoes
- Two large towels
