Learning to swim made fun
On selected dates, children can discover the water safely and playfully at our Happy Swim School, or take the “Seepferdchen” Swimming Course to earn their first swimming badge. Both options focus on water safety, build confidence, and ensure plenty of fun for little swimmers!
Happy Swim School
Swimming course for children from 4.5 years
During your stay at Elldus Resort, children from 4.5 years can join a one-week swim course to learn water safety and basic swimming skills in a playful way. The main focus is on promoting self-rescue in the water, while ensuring lots of fun.
Course Details:
- Monday to Friday, mornings at the Ozeanien pool in Elldus Spa
- 5 × 45-minute sessions per week
- Class size: min. 2, max. 6 children
- Price for hotel guests: €120 per week; single course: €150

“Seepferdchen” Swimming Course
Intensive course for advanced young swimmers
Motivated children have the chance to earn the Seepferdchen swimming badge on selected dates. The course is run by the Erzgebirge Swim Team and is primarily aimed at overnight guests.
Requirements & Format:
- Age: 5–12 years (from 4¾ by prior arrangement)
- Enjoyment of water and basic swimming experience required
- Monday to Friday: 1 main session + 1 additional session on 4 days (total 9 units)
- At least one parent/guardian present at the poolside
- Badge requirements: swim 25 m, dive, jump; alternatively, the “Frog” badge

"Seepferdchen" Passed? - Next-level swimming fun for children
Pirate & Seal Badges
Children who have successfully earned their Seepferdchen badge can advance with our Pirate and Seal badges. Experienced trainers from the Erzgebirge Swim Team build on previous skills, introducing backstroke (25 m), longer swims (up to 100 m), jumps, and deeper or longer dives. Parents can feel more confident accompanying their children in the water.
Requirements & Format:
- Successful Seepferdchen badge required
- Monday to Friday – conducted as an advanced course alongside the Seepferdchen schedule
- At least one parent/guardian present at the poolside
