Learning to swim made fun
On selected dates, children can discover the water safely and playfully at our Happy Swim School, or take the “Seepferdchen” Swimming Course to earn their first swimming badge. Both options focus on water safety, build confidence, and ensure plenty of fun for little swimmers!
Happy Swim School
Swimming course for children from 4½ years
During your stay at Elldus Resort, children from 4½ years can learn to move safely in the water in a playful one-week swimming course. The main aim is to promote self-rescue in the water. Our qualified team makes sure that children not only learn to move safely in the water but also have fun.
Course times & procedure:
- Monday to Friday, mornings in the Ozeanien pool of the Elldus Spa
- 5 × 45 minutes per week
- Group size: min. 2, max. 6 children
- Price for hotel guests: €120 per weekly course; individual course: €150

“Seepferdchen” swimming course
Intensive course for advanced swimmers
On selected dates, motivated children have the chance to earn the “Seepferdchen” (seahorse) swimming badge. The course is run by Schwimmteam Erzgebirge and is aimed primarily at hotel guests.
Requirements & procedure:
- Age: 5 to 12 years (from 4¾ by arrangement)
- Enjoyment of the water and first experience in a swimming pool required
- Monday to Friday: 1 swimming lesson + 1 additional session on 4 days (9 sessions in total)
- At least one parent/accompanying adult at the poolside
- Badge: swim 25 m, dive and jump; alternatively the “Frosch” (frog) badge

Passed your Seepferdchen?
Pirate and seal badges
To take part, children must have passed the “Seepferdchen” badge. Our experienced coaches from Schwimmteam Erzgebirge build on what the children have already learnt and also try to teach backstroke (25 m), longer and more sustained swimming (100 m), different jumps into the water, and diving deeper and further. This lets you as parents enjoy trips to and into the water with your child with ever greater peace of mind.
Requirements & procedure:
- Seepferdchen badge passed
- Monday to Friday – runs as a follow-on course between the times of the Seepferdchen course
- At least one parent/accompanying adult at the poolside
